As always, a totally crazy video, but a fun beat.

Single Stream Workflow!
And by that, I mean I have a single web form that I use to submit random thoughts as well as blog entries to a google spreadsheet so that I can slice-and-dice the data (hopefully graphing entries over time isn't lame!).
In my usual Rube Goldberg fashion, along with my growing obsession to live a data-driven life, I built a google doc web form that will send an email to my blogger account to draft a post. I will have to continue adding fields, as well as build out more 'activity'-related forms that all feed back to a set of spreadsheets. I've had one for all my quadcopter flights to keep a record of how many hours I've flown, as well as the breakdown between different flight controllers.
So far, two buttons.
Oh right, I made a thing that embeds youtube videos for me if I submit the link. Otherwise it's just a text link for web pages and such. Convenient.

Weekend Quadcopter
My latest quadcopter flying space is in Lexington, and I filmed my whole morning from setup to breakdown. Played back at 40x.

4th of July
In case you hadn't noticed, I've been posting videos pretty regularly of my quadcopter flying. The most risky thing so far has probably been watching fireworks at 11pm without any on-screen-display to tell me where I am. It took over half the flight just to find the ground and land safely. Totally worth it.

Quadcopter...s?
I had to build one myself.
But then I really had to build a second one.
All the layering makes most quads not have any big flat surfaces. I wanted only a top and bottom layer so that I could have a very reconfigurable platform.
Next will be a hexacopter... Maybe something like this:

QuadCopter!!!!
It took me a while to fully commit, but these things are amazing. Much easier logistics than an R/C plane, and terrifying to learn to fly!
This this is a VC-450 from Witespy Quad. It's got a Quadrino flight controller, four 20-Amp motors, 20 Amp ESCs (Electronic Speed Controller), Spektrum 8-channel receiver, and came with a 2200mAh LiPo battery.
I also attached a GoPro. The ping pong ball is for the operator's orientation. The ball faces forward. And this is just the tip of the iceberg...
